Barcelona Tycoon

The Barcelona Tycoon cover: two hands holding up a miniature Barcelona, euro banknotes drifting past the Sagrada Família.

One of my favourite computer games in 2001 was Monopoly Tycoon. You built shops and watched tiny customers choose where to spend. I still think about it.

Barcelona Tycoon is that fantasy rebuilt around my city: a real-time urban business simulator set in the commercial life, architecture, neighbourhoods and rhythms of Barcelona. You start with limited capital and a foothold in a single block. From there you develop properties, operate businesses, adjust prices and quality, compete for footfall, and gradually shape a living urban economy.

Status: parked concept. There is a vision document, a cover, and the plan to build it with the same AI tooling I ship products with anyway. If it moves, this page gets a sequel.

For the lawyers: an independent original concept, not affiliated with or endorsed by Hasbro, Atari, or Barcelona City Council.
